While all the hype is going on at CES about digital reading devices, tablet pc’s, islate and the likes… The smart people at Bonnier R&D published this video on their research focused on the future of magazine reading through handheld digital devices.

Pretty amazing stuff… which we’ll probably look back at in a few years with a “duuuhhh”

Back to Square one?

A while back we heard that Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey was working on a new start-up payment service that would let users make payments from credit card accounts using their iPhones. The result is Square, and it is now open to trial users. It has a solid feature set, and works with a hardware add-on that can swipe cards. Payments are even verified using email or viewed online in real time.

Besides convenience and the obvious shiny toy factor, Square’s payment method has it’s perks for users. With Square, businesses can do things like give you a free something after a set number of repeat purchases of their products, much like punchcards. It can even …
